Site Accessibility
An accessible website is part of our open-science commitment: knowledge must be reachable by everyone.
1. Our commitment
Rizoma Lab strives to make its website accessible to the widest possible audience. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA, as our orientation point and continuously improve accessibility as the website evolves. No external accessibility audit has been performed to date; this statement describes the actual state, not a certificate.
2. What is implemented
- Full keyboard operability, including a skip link that jumps directly to the page content.
- Visible focus states on interactive elements, so keyboard position is always clear.
- Light and dark interface themes, free to choose regardless of system settings.
- Respect for reduced-motion preference: animations and transitions are disabled when requested by the operating system.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technologies.
- Page language declared for every version (Russian, English) and a responsive layout that follows browser font-size settings.
3. Limitations and feedback
Some older interactive materials (simulations, canvas visualizations) are harder to use with screen readers than plain text; their key conclusions are always duplicated in the surrounding article text. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please report it — such reports are treated as defects of the same priority as functional bugs.
If you encounter an accessibility issue, please report it through our contact channels.
